REFRESH participated in a CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) meeting in Brussels on 19 February. We joined 28 other Horizon Europe wind energy projects to network and exchange knowledge.

Professor Roberto Frassine of EuCIA represented REFRESH at this cluster workshop.

This event was a valuable opportunity to connect with other projects working to advance the performance and sustainability of wind energy and discuss innovation and policy priorities with policymakers.

REFRESH also attended a CINEA workshop in November 2023, when RINA and Gees Recycling represented the project.

Horizon Europe

Horizon Europe is the EU’s ambitious research and innovation programme for 2021-2027, with a budget of €95.5 billion. It tackles climate change, helps to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and boosts the EU’s competitiveness and growth. CINEA runs parts of the programme.

Horizon Europe wind energy projects support the transition to a reliable, sustainable and competitive energy system. 63 projects have been supported since 2014, with a combined total funding of approximately €450 million.
